The Welfare Branch was Established after the Framing of Sindh Police Welfare Fund Rule-1979.
The Welfare Branch is supervised by the AIGP Welfare under the Administrative Control of IGP Sindh.

Processing of Welfare Benefits i.e. Immediate Relief (Burial Charges), Marriage Grant, Retirement Grant, Financial Aid on medical ground, Scholarship Cases, Medical Financial Aid and Aid for legal / court matters.
Maintaining Police Private Funds, viz Sindh Police Benevolent / Welfare Fund, Immediate Medical Relief for Injured Police personnel, etc.
Purchase of medicines for Police Hospitals.
