Mission Statement

RRF Mission:

The mission of RRF is to engage specially trained policemen for overpowering criminals, terrorists and miscreants during situations of supreme importance and beyond the capacity of local police.

Responsibilities of RRF:

• Rapid Response Force (RRF) established in April 2009. The main idea behind the creation of RRF was to perform high risk    operations which are beyond the capacity of local police.
• To respond effectively and professionally to any terrorist threat / attack.
• Anti-Dacoit Operation.
• To Rescue Hostage.
• To secure Vital Installations throughout Sindh.
• Any other task assigned by the competent authority i.e. IGP Sindh.

CMU Mission:

To ensure effective public order management & riot control through provision of security to peaceful gatherings, dispersal of mobs through negotiations or through minimum use of force & by ensuring optimum level of preparedness.

Responsibilities of CMU:

• Crowd Management Unit (CMU) established on 14th March 2023. The Crowd Management Unit (CMU) is established to handle Law & order situations professionally and effectively across the province of Sindh.
• CMU is to protect life and property of the citizens during exceptional law & order situations.
• To control all kind of unlawful assemblies.
• To disperse violent crowd with minimum use of force with least possible damage.
• To ensure optimum level of preparedness through better response time.
• Any other task assigned by the competent authority i.e. IGP Sindh.
